The Nest
Painting The Nest is a group of dedicated people who feel called by God to help others. The Nest feeds the homeless under the interstate in downtown Birmingham. This outreach touches and blesses hearts, ultimately pleasing God. Anyone is welcome to join us in our outreach to the homeless by joining us the 4th Sunday night of every month. Watch the Messenger or News and Events for details or contact Jean Tims through the church office.

Food for Urban Ministry
An outreach that began by the United Methodist Women with church-wide participation, Food for Urban Ministry challenges Mountain Chapel to donate a specific food item or items each month. These items are either used in Urban Ministry's soup kitchen or for individual emergency situations. Donations are placed in the FLC lobby and will be picked up at the end of the month.

Crossroads Church
Through a partnership, Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church is helping to revive Crossroads United Methodist Church ministry through various means. By lending use of a church van, we are able to provide transportation of more than 70 children that are ministered to through a meal, puppet and adult leader skits, praise music, and Bible reading during Thursday evenings. Currently we are developing a Clothes Closet for men, women, and children's fall and winter clothing. For more information about Crossroad's needs or to how to give financially, please contact Tom Parrish through the church office.

The Bridge
The Bridge is an outreach ministry serving people in a situational crisis who need a place to stay for a short period of time at no cost to them. For more information, contact Richard and Marsha Tudor through the church office.

Prison Ministry
The Prison Ministry of Mountain Chapel reaches out to families of inmates. On the 1st Saturday of each month, two volunteers from Mountain Chapel use the church van to pick up family members and drive them to the St. Clair County Correctional Institute where they are able to visit their loved ones. For more information about joining this team, please contact the church office.

United Methodist Children's Home for Alabama and West Florida
By saving your Campbell's soup labels, you can help support the United Methodist Children's Home for Alabama and West Florida. On the bulletin board by the nursery, you can find a folder with a list of eligible labels as well as a designated area where you can place your collected labels.
