Formatted like a “pre-youth group,” the Rising Stars ministry is for 4th, 5th and 6th graders. Our goal is to have fun while worshipping and learning about God and to provide a smooth transition from the children’s ministry to youth ministry. Planned activities include time for fun, fellowship, ministry, and spiritual growth as we prepare each child to become a lifelong follower of Christ.

Once a month, the Rising Stars have an outing for additional fun and fellowship.  Some past events include; Alabama Adventure, Lock-ins, Laser Tag, visiting Desoto Caverns and the Pumpkin Patch. Look for announcements in the weekly Messenger or News and Events for our next event!

Another important aspect of the Rising Stars is helping others and we do this through mission projects. Currently, we are collecting men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and shoes for Crossroads Church new Thrift Store. Rising Stars host an Angel Tree party each year with gifts purchased by members of our church, for the children at Crossroads Church near Mulga, Alabama.

If you have a 4th, 5th, or 6th grader interested in joining the Rising Stars, please contact Allyson Lewis through the church office. Rising Stars meet in the student ministry wing located in back of the church.
