Rising Stars

Formatted like a “pre-youth group,” the Rising Stars ministry is for 4th, 5th and 6th graders. This group’s goal is to have fun while worshipping and learning more about God and is a great transition from the Children’s department to the Youth Group.  Numerous opportunities for fun, fellowship, ministry, and spiritual growth are available through all of our activities as we prepare each child to make a commitment to Christ. 

Once a month, the Rising Stars have an outing for some extra fun and fellowship.  Some of the events so far have been: Alabama Adventure, Lock-in with Laser Tag, Desoto Caverns, and Pumpkin Patch. Look for an announcement in the Messenger or News and Events for our next event!

Another important aspect of the Rising Stars is helping others, and we do this through various mission projects. Our most recent mission project is “Children to Children,” which is a project to help foster children in the local area. 

If you have a 4th, 5th, or 6th grader interested in joining the Rising Stars, please contact Allyson Lewis (hyperlink found in Staff section) by calling the church.

Note: All gatherings take place on the second floor of the student ministry wing in the room next to the glass doors.
