“Is there a doctor in the house?” Well, there almost was, but as for us at Mountain Chapel, we’re thankful Tom Parrish is our pastor in God’s house instead. On the road to become a medical doctor, Tom received the call to enter the ministry, and now, his expertise lies in pastoring and preaching to the Mountain Chapel family. Tom’s hope for the future of Mountain Chapel involves “…eventually working myself out of a job as people become involved and use their gifts in serving God and building the Kingdom.” Tom’s warm, humble personality makes him accessible as a pastor and is a precursor to the welcoming spirits of our members. The medical field may have missed out on a talented doctor, but for Tom, following God’s calling means he’s not missing out at all.
