Women's Ministries

Regardless of your role as a student, wife, mother, or executive, having good friends on the journey of life is a must. And at Mountain Chapel, we pray that you would find your place among friends with the variety of growth opportunities within our Women’s Ministries. From our Young Adult Women’s Bible Study to our “Steel Magnolias” women’s fellowship group to the United Methodist Women’s meetings and more, Mountain Chapel strives to be a place of rest, growth, encouragement, and friendship for every woman.

Bible Studies

Fellowship Groups

Our women’s monthly fellowship groups consist of a dinner on the first Thursday of every month at a home and a large gathering of all the groups twice a year. Please call or email (hyperlink to info@mountainchapel.org) the church office for more information about joining any of the below groups.

United Methodist Women circles

Tablescapes

Tablescapes is designed as both a fellowship and outreach ministry for women, and is typically held in March. This dinner event is a creative opportunity for table hostesses to decorate a dinner table with a creative theme and provide an opportunity for women of Mountain Chapel and in the Birmingham area to socialize in a fun setting. Men from Mountain Chapel help by being servers this evening. This event has grown each year and continues to be a highlight as spring approaches.

United Methodist Women

The UMW is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom as a whole person through Jesus Christ, develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

As a whole, the UMW meets on the first Tuesday of every month, September through May, at 9:30 am at the church with lunch following in the fireside room.

“Circles,” consisting of smaller groups, meet as follows:

Faith Circle
Meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am in a member’s home or at the church.

Joy Circle
Meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am in a member’s home or at the church.

Fellowship Circle
Meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm in a member’s home or at the church.

Serendipity Circle
Meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm at the church.

Call to Prayer Day
Sponsored by the United Methodist Women, Call to Prayer Day is held in the chapel from 9:00 am until noon for those who wish to spend some quiet time in prayer.
